“Remember to have this guiding star: You are building something you think is important”
So says Christian Frahm, founder and CEO of United fintech, in a recent episode of the podcast Work In Fintech. He sat down for a chat about building a company, the entrepreneurial journey and its ups and downs, as well as a look back on his many achievements.
Work In Fintech conducts interviews with some of the fintech industry’s most prominent leaders, CEOs, and founders. Earlier versions of the podcast feature Ying Cao, former Head of Digital Products at Barclay’s, as well as Andy Mosson, Executive Director at JP Morgan.
On taking risks and facing obstacles
In this episode, Christian talks to Helene Lipp and Matthew Chung about the many risks associated with building a business. Even though the dream of making something great sounds appealing, the way to success is paved with many sacrifices that the entrepreneur has to consider.
Christian is no stranger to risk-taking. He delves into how working in the financial industry for years prepared him to start his own business, CFH Group, and how his banking network helped make the journey possible.
He also touches on how United Fintech came to be with the mission of helping banks access better technology products much quicker.
Lastly, Christian has a bit of advice for people who want to get started in fintech: Stay curious, start learning, and educate yourself. There are plenty of available resources if you want to know more about fintech – including of course podcasts like Work In Fintech.
Thank you to Work In Fintech for featuring United Fintech’s origin story together with some wise words from Christian Frahm. We’re honored you want to include us in your inspiring work.
